Okay, I know I am going to get hit over the head for this but sure would like to hear your thoughts .
I just bought a nice clean 71 SX coupe. A # 3 show condition car , from 20 feet looks good. Last owner did a decent job on rebuild, eng, trans, interior, and paint. Runs good. Looks okay until you look close, it will need a better paint job eventually. I like to drive my cars. So here is the question, with out tearing it up, ie keeping it looking close to stock, What are your thoughts on upgrading the suspension, steering , brakes,shocks, tires, seats, stereo (no I wouldn't cut holes in the doors) modern A/C, Serpentine belts, EFI , cam, heads , intake manifold etc? I won't cut the car up ! I am not looking to make it more valuable money wise, but would like to make it less of a 60's era boat and more current fun to drive and still have the great looks.
